Now that Thanksgiving is over, everyone’s going to start talking about Christmas and cookies and gifts and all that jazz. Well…for those folks who’d rather see more meat rather than dessert, this Ground Beef Paleo Popcorn recipe is for you. :)
You might be wondering why I call it Paleo Popcorn, especially since popcorn is not Paleo.
You see, when you tear ground beef apart into tiny, tiny pieces. Then bake it. It will then crisp up. And then you too can call it popcorn.
Typically beef is used as the main ingredient for a meal but when you make this ground beef paleo popcorn you can serve it as a snack.
Or a topping for salad.
And you can set it out at parties as an appetizer too.
Kind of like beef jerky…but in ball form, and not completely crispy. So maybe nothing like jerky. Forget that.
Store your leftover ground beef paleo popcorn in a sealed container in the fridge because remember, it’s not really popcorn. :p
And if you’re wondering, the answer is yes. When Jeff & I go to the movies we’ll sometimes share a bag of regular ol’ popcorn. But only from places that cook it in coconut oil and top it with REAL butter, not the fake butter replacement that you can shake out of a container. But next time, I might sneak in some of this instead. :)
