Pefect for entertaining guests, or a weeknight dinner at home, this recipe suits all occasions.
Wine is Paleo?
Well, sort of.
Red wine in particular has a number of health benefits, it’s easy on the blood sugar and tastes great with steak. Don’t believe me? Mark Sisson has a whole post on the health benefits of wine.
In any case, for this recipe, we’re really just using it to add flavor. Most of the alcohol will cook out in the oven.

This is a great dish for a weeknight meal. Just throw the ingredients together the night before or the morning of, cook it up in the oven for a few minutes and you’re done!
It’s also great for entertaining. Serve this baby up with a side salad and your guests will be so impressed that you made such a hearty meal. You don’t have to tell them it took you no more than a few minutes of prep. That will be our little secret. ;)
Nothing is more satisfying than a big hunk of grass-fed steak, but don’t forget to steam some vegetables or toss a salad together to eat with your steak.
The myth that Paleo involves eating nothing but hunks of meat is a misconception. Yes, meat is very nutritious, especially if it’s grass-fed, but it can’t match the anti-oxidant boost that plants provide, not to mention resistant starch (the stuff that feeds the good bacteria in your gut). Besides, nothing complements a juicy steak like a big heaping salad!
