I’ve already posted a Paleo Pork Neck Bones Recipe but these were so good, and different from the first time around, I decided I couldn’t keep this recipe to myself.

Paleo Pork Neck Bones Recipe

I promise I’m not prejudice against different types of meat but it seems pork is becoming quite the regular Paleo Porn star around here. I mean, don’t get me wrong, we love bacon but hello…there’s plenty of other cuts of pork to cook up.

And if you’re looking for recipes that will work for Paleo on a budget, this is it!

Paleo Pork Neck Bones Recipe

I threw everything in the crockpot and let it do it’s thaaang. Without the addition of any liquid, the meat got a little crispy and Jeff absolutely loved that.

Paleo Pork Neck Bones Recipe

Don’t be surprised if Pork becomes a recurring theme around here. Two to three times a month I make a pork shoulder and I’ve yet to share one of those recipes, so you know what to expect soon. :)

Paleo Pork Neck Bones Recipe...part duex

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2lbs pork neck bones
  • sea salt and coarse ground black pepper, to taste
  • 3 ribs celery, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 large carrot, sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • sea salt, garlic powder, dried oregano and dried thyme, to taste

Directions

  1. Season the neck bones with sea salt and black pepper and brown them in a pan over medium heat. Depending on the size of your pan you will probably have to do this in shifts. Transfer neck bones to the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Add celery, onion, garlic and carrots to the crock pot.
  3. Season everything with a sprinkling of sea salt, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried thyme and stir to combine.
  4. Add a bay leaf, cover and cook on high for 6 hours.
  5. Serve and enjoy! :)
