Sometimes you just want a quick dessert you can secretly devour in the kitchen without anyone else knowing. And if you never have that desire, this is also a quick little dessert you can prepare and share.
I won’t tell you whether I decided to share with Jeff or not when I made this…I’ll just let you guess. :)

Apples For Inspiration
One of my favorite recipes that people love is Apple Pie in a Bowl. It was the big hit from the first edition of Pigskin Paleo so we had to keep the recipe in the book when we released the second edition.
Pears Are In Season
Pear season begins when Bartlett pears arrive in late summer. They’re soon followed by Bosc and Comice pears, which are in season from fall through winter. Finally, Anjou pears make their appearance and stick around all through winter.
Pears have a more mild flavor so if you’re not sure which to choose, I highly recommend you reach for a Bosc pear, as they tend to be sweeter.
You can always warm or pan fry the pears in a skillet but I was going for a quick little somethin’ somethin’ for dessert so I just chopped them up, mixed them around with the other ingredients and called it a day.
