We’ve all heard that an apple a day will keep the doctor away, but how much truth is there to the old saying? Some. Apples are certainly more nutritious than just about anything you’ll find in the snack aisle. They are full of vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, to name just a few.
On the other hand, apples are also very sweet, so if you’re doing a sugar detox or trying to stay very low-carb, you may want to avoid apples (or choose a green variety for less sugar content). For those of us who want a slightly higher carbohydrate content in our diets, apples can be a Paleo-friendly way to get those carbs, but having one every day may not be advisable.
