Small, But Mighty

Mint is an herb, and although they make up only a small part of our diet, there are plenty of reasons to eat herbs. They come loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and consuming them has been shown to reduce blood pressure and improve glucose tolerance. Mint in particular has a few special medical uses.

The Health Benefits

Aside from freshening your breath, studies have also demonstrated that mint is an effective cure for irritable bowel syndrome. If you’re a woman with polycystic ovarian syndrome, you may even have success using mint to get rid of that extra hair (source).
