Sausage is meat, which is definitely Paleo, but it’s also a processed food, which is usually not Paleo, so where does sausage fall?
The Source Matters
Generally, sausage can be included as part of a healthy lifestyle. Just be sure to get it from a source you trust and check the list of ingredients to make sure there’s nothing on there that’s unpronounceable. Better yet, you can always make it yourself. Mix up a batch of ground pork with some sea salt and spices to make assured you’re getting a nutrient-dense meal full of antioxidants.
