Plain old coffee can make an excellent addition to any Paleo Breakfast, but why stop there? Just like food, coffee can benefit from the addition of spices and other foods, but don’t go thinking this is going to be anything like your typical Starbucks Frappuccino. This coffee’s far better.

Those of us who have already tried it know that starting out with a cup means having the most productive day of your life.
The addition of some quality grass-fed butter and MCT oil makes a delicious cup of coffee that also pleases your brain, but I think we can do better.
Cinnamon is often added to coffee, and it definitely enhances the flavor, but let’s go one step further. Turmeric.

Why turmeric?
Aside from the fact that it’s delicious, it is one of the healthiest spices out there. It is anti-inflammatory, helps boost the immune system, and has anti-cancer properties. Consuming turmeric regularly can help you avoid Alzheimer’s, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer (source). If you want to take something regularly, what better way than taking it with your morning coffee?
Cinnamon has a lot of the same health benefits as turmeric. Studies have shown that cinnamon may have anti-cancer properties, is capable of inhibiting Alzheimer’s, and can be effective in improving glucose tolerance (source).
With a Paleo Breakfast that has a healthy helping of fat and these two super spices, you should be ready for anything! Just don’t counteract those amazing fats with a side of sugar and you’re golden! :)
