Marla Sarris: Hey everybody! Marla Sarris from Paleo Porn here. We’re coming at you from Los Angeles, California. And we’ve got an update on This Week in Paleo Porn.
So let’s get to it!
So I’ve got three recipes on Paleo Porn this week. The first one was an Eight Pound Stone Fruit Crisp. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take 8 lbs of stone fruit, but the whole story is laid out on the blog if you wanna go ahead and read it. It’s a really cute little thing, I guess.
If you like to make fun of me for what I did. So you’ll just have to go and check it out!
The second recipe I want to share with you is a game day recipe. So since the NFL season has started and we’re gonna be watching football more, you may want to cook this up. It is Crispy Curry Duck Gizzards with Spicy Paleo Marinara Sauce.
It may sound like, “ew, I don’t wanna eat gizzards.” But you have to just try it! Duck gizzards are really big compared to chicken gizzards. And they are really solid and hearty.
It was really a good recipe I thought. But I like most everything that I make so I’m not a judge, but Jeff enjoyed it. And it’s an organ meat so that will up your intake of Offal. Er, awful? No, not awful. Offal. It’s Offal. Right? Offal…
You know, not typical cuts of meat?
The third recipe that I’ve got to share with you on Paleo Porn is Slow Cooker Rosemary Pork Shoulder. So I make pork a lot and I really like Pork Shoulder because it provides a lot of meat at one time. So you can make this at the beginning of the week, or the weekend, and it can last you, if you’re only serving one or two people, mostly throughout the week. For lunches or a couple of nights worth of dinners. And it’s so versatile.
I really enjoy making pork shoulder. And I realized I didn’t have a pork shoulder recipe up on the site so I wanted to post a really easy version. And this uses the slow cooker so you can let that sit in the corner of your kitchen and you don’t even have to bother with it. And you’ll have a really tasty meal after 8 hours of cooking.
The other thing that we have is another review from Lynette. She’s got a Paleo Skin Care Product for us. And it is not a product you can buy online, but it is available in Chicago at Magalie’s Naturals. The product is Vanilla Restructuring Lip Balm. And it tastes delicious. I loved the vanilla flavoring. And I’m not eating it, but you know what I mean. You could… No, I wouldn’t eat it. Don’t eat it. But it’s good on your lips. And it blocks you from the sun. And, you know, does what lip balm does.
But it’s a clean list of ingredients. And if you’re in the Chicago area I definikly, definikly?! I’d definitely say check out Magalie’s Naturals.
The next thing I wanna tell you about is why we’re in Los Angeles. So we were up in Ventura, California interviewing Jill from Jilz Gluten Free. And we got to meet her husband Ron and all of the people who make Jill’s Gluten Free crackers.
We had an awesome time with them. I cannot wait to share with you our interview with them. That will be an upcoming episode of Paleo Porn TV. So stay tuned for that.

We’ve been to a bunch of different Paleo Friendly Restaurants in town. And of course we’ve gotten some sun on the beach. And we went to Muscle Beach and got a good workout in on the rings and they’ve got an amazing adult playground there. So I brought my straps so I could do pullups on the pullup bar. And it’s just really a lot of fun.
So if you’re in Santa Monica or Venice, I envy you. And you should definitely check out that awesome gym equipment that’s available all of the time on the beach.
